  • Oak Harbor Lutheran Church is holding FUN WITH THE SON Vacation Bible School 9 a.m. to noon, Aug. 11-15, at the church, 1253 NW Second Ave. This is a beach-themed program focusing on five parables of Jesus.   • Oak Harbor First United Methodist Church invites children ages 3 years to 5th grade to gear up at WORKSHOP OF WONDERS: IMAGINE AND BUILD WITH GOD Vacation Bible School. The program is 9-11:30 a.m., Aug. 11-15 at First United Methodist Church, 1050 SE Ireland St., Oak Harbor. There will be interactive Bible fun, music, science, crafts, mission work, snacks and games.   • LITTLE LAMBS PRESCHOOL at Concordia Lutheran Church, 590 N. Oak Harbor St., is accepting registrations for the 2014-15 school year, beginning in September for ages 3 and 4. The teaching staff is experienced in preschool education, which is characterized by a love for Jesus, a love for children and a dedication to providing the best environment and experiences for learning and kindergarten readiness.   • WHIDBEY ISLAND FRIENDS, also known as Quakers, holds their regular meeting for worship 4-5 p.m. Sundays at the Unitarian Universalist building, 20103 Highway 525, two miles north of Freeland.   • Oak Harbor’s CHRISTIAN SCIENCE READING ROOM is open for study and prayer 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, and 3-7 p.m. Wednesdays.
