Meet with Quakers in Freeland | Religion Notes

February 8, 2013 · Updated 2:20 PM

Whidbey Island Friends Meeting (Quakers) holds their regular meeting for worship 4-5 p.m. every Sunday at the Unitarian Universalist building, located at 20103 Highway 525 two miles north of Freeland.

This time of silent worship together may include spoken messages. Quaker Howard Brinton wrote in 1943: “For Friends, the most important consideration is not the right action in itself, but a right inward state out of which right action will arise.” On the first Sunday of each month there is also singing at 3:30 p.m.
