Troop 4063 Boy Scout earns Eagle rank
December 11, 2012 · Updated 4:11 PM
Nathan Wagner, son of Bert and Diane Wagner of Oak Harbor, was presented his Eagle rank at a Court of Honor held Nov. 17.
He was joined in celebrating this accomplishment by the Boy Scouts of Troops 4061, 4063, 4065, former Scout leaders, family and fellow Eagle Scouts.
Wagner, a Junior at Oak Harbor High School, is in Troop 4063, sponsored by Oak Harbor LDS 2nd Ward Church in Oak Harbor.
Eagle is the highest rank in Boy Scouts. This rank is earned only when a young man actively performs in a leadership role as a Life Scout, completes the requirements for 21 merit badges and successfully leads an Eagle Project. For his Eagle Project, Wagner coordinated the renovation of the Deception Pass State Park amphitheater seating. He led fellow Scouts, local community groups and church members to improve the experience of park visitors when partaking of the programs at the amphitheater.
