Find the way to gratitude | Religion Notes
December 9, 2011 · Updated 2:34 PM
Gratitude is a good thing; it calms us and softens our hearts. But what happens when we are hurting and we can’t get to gratitude? Is gratitude possible in those circumstances? Debra Thorne, ministerial intern at the Port Townsend UU Fellowship, will explore these issues. All are welcome. Values-based children’s religious exploration classes and child care will be provided. The Whidbey Island Unitarian Universalist service is at 10 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 11, at 20103 Highway 525, just north of Freeland. Check www.whidbey.com/uucwi for more information.
Wednesday evening service will be held Dec. 14 at 7:30 p.m., offering a quiet, contemplative candlelight evening service. This month’s gathering will include Christmas carols, readings, and meditation.
