Soroptimists seek applicants

The Violet Richardson Award is a recognition program for young women ages 14 to 17 engaged in volunteer action with their community or school. This award of $500 is given to a young woman whose activities make her community and world a better place. The Women’s Opportunity Award was established to assist women with primary financial responsibility for their family to obtain skills training and the education necessary to improve their employment status and standard of living. This award will provide a $1000 scholarship. Contact Carol at 678-3167 for an application and information.
