The show follows veterans Bob Wallace and Phil Davis as they have a successful song-and-dance act after World War II. With romance in mind, the two follow a duo of beautiful singing sisters in route to their Christmas show at a Vermont lodge. n GARRY OAK GALLERY is exhibiting the island clay creations of Lyla Lillis. Lillis’ works make wonderful gifts for and decorations for the holidays. Lillis forms and fires Whidbey Island clays into vases and other pieces.

n GARRY OAK GALLERY in Oak Harbor switched to fall and winter hours and is be open 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. seven days a week.Many of the gallery artists are using seasonal themes in their creative efforts. Janine Shelly added a new, fused glass lamp, using brilliant colors inspired by fall colors, and Steve Nowiki’s latest pieces accent his leaping, metal fish and crab art, quite nicely.

n GARRY OAK GALLERY in Oak Harborannounced its newest guest artist, Brenda Pike. Her “flowerful” photos will keep spring in your home, all year long. The gallery is open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (6:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday).

n FEATURED ARTISTS at Oak Harbor Library during December are Judy Sjerven Nicholai and Toni Kay Smith. Sjerven Nicholai creates landscapes, pet portraits and florals in pastels. Smith is a photographer who captures unexpected moments in nature with her camera.

n LADONNA EVERETT is featured artist at Oak Harbor City Hall through December. Everett is a surrealist pastel artist. n READINGS BY Washington state’s poet Laureate Tod Marshall will be held at 3-4 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 19, at the Oak Harbor Library. Marshall will share his work and his wisdom, and answer questions about the craft of poetry writing. Copies of Marshall’s books will be available for sale and signing.

n WHIDBEY PLAYHOUSE is holding auditions for “37 Postcards” 6:30 p.m. Sunday and Monday, Feb. 5 and 6, at Whidbey Playhouse, Star Studio 730 S.E. Midway Blvd., Oak Harbor. The play “37 Postcards” is a dramatic comedy about a man coming home after five years abroad, finding things not quite as he left them with his grandmother still alive and kicking.
