Why add to an already bloated defense budget?

Editor,

Go ahead, Google this. The Defense Business Board was created in 2001 as a complement to begin transformation efforts in the Department of Defense from an overly burdensome bureaucracy to a more streamlined, effective organization.

On Wikipedia, on Jan. 22, 2015, under the page entitled The Bottom Line, it says, “We are spending a lot more money than we thought. We can see a clear path to saving over $125 billion in the next five years.”

So, come on, two years later, we should cancel Meals on Wheels and improving the health of Puget Sound — for better fishing — and cancel what else? To give this already bloated Department of Defense $54 billion more? WHY?
