Thank you Whidbey News-Times for the great coverage of Mr. Wright’s proposal to build 1,500 new homes south of Oak Harbor and keeping us apprised of the county commissioner’s and city council’s efforts to facilitate making this an eventual reality.

I can hardly wait for the clogged road (we only have one to choose from), the increase in crime, the higher taxes, the lack of water and septic facilities, the crowded schools, stores, etc., that are bound to come from this “progress.” Tell the county commissioners at bicc@co.island.wa.us and the planning commission at planningcommission@co.island.was.us what you think of this idea. We need to stop it now!
