‘The Fantasticks,’ on stage at WICA, is one not miss

As a retired film, television and theater critic, I have seen amazing shows in my life. However, none has touched me as much as the opening night performance of “The Fantasticks” at WICA in Langley.

The two young people in the show, Austin Morehouse and Annika Hustad, are, in a word, magical. The entire cast deserves a standing ovation for their performances.

The show is brilliantly directed by Elizabeth Herbert. I was stunned and surprised at the quality of the production, makeup, costumes and set.

The show only runs through Oct. 21. It is a rare treat, not to be missed.
