North Whidbey Park and Recreation District’s first and foremost priority is the safety of our patrons and staff. Customer service is second only to safety. We make every effort to make our patron’s experience at the pool a pleasant one and regret that Ms. Kathie Sterling had a less than optimal experience with us.
As a taxpayer-supported facility we do not permit cash refunds.
These controls are in place to prevent the mismanagement of your tax dollars. We fully understand the frustration that this caused and did offer some other options.
It is unfortunate that we could not reach an acceptable solution in this case.
We were glad to see Ms. Sterling back at the pool a few days later and hope she will continue to visit us during her future trips to Oak Harbor.
