Please return soldiers stolen from Pioneer

Editor,

I don’t know if criminals read the paper, but on the off chance they see this.

This is to the person or persons who damaged or stole the toy soldiers from Pioneer Way.

As one of the artists, I made the Seahawks one. I thought you should know, I spent five days sketching and painting him. I am a diehard Steelers fan. My husband is the Hawks fan. I made that in his honor. He also served in the Navy and defended your right to live in a free country.

Sadly, we won’t be able to participate in the first of what will be many years of a new tradition in Oak Harbor. The community won’t be able to enjoy the fun and love the artists put into their creations. And lastly, there appears to be a sense of entitlement on your part that you may take something that was not yours nor were you entitled to take.

So, if you read this, everyone would appreciate if you drop them off, in the dark of night, in front of the mall entrance on Pioneer Way.
