Letter: Thank you to Santa for spreading Christmas joy

Editor,

Santa surprised the preschool-through-first-grade children last week for the Oak Harbor Kiwanis Club Santa Orange Project.

It was a joy to see and hear their excitement when he walked into their classrooms.

Many thanks to those who made it possible – the abundance of oranges due to the very generous and appreciated contribution from Greg Saar, the two and a half days of donated time given by Santa Dave Meyers, and to Police Officer Mike Clements, who escorted Santa to the classes at Hillcrest Elementary.

We have such a wonderful community of people in Oak Harbor who are so giving and willing to help, and we thank you.

Gail Turner
