Letter: Many helped to make 2019 garden tour a huge success

Editor,

The Oak Harbor Garden Club would like to thank those in the community and those from out of town who joined us on our 20th Annual Garden Tour.

Six beautiful gardens were on the tour and for those garden owners we thank you for sharing your gardens and all the wonderful information we came away with.

You made all your fun (hard) work look so easy and inspired many of us to head home and work in our gardens.

At one of the gardens, refreshments were enjoyed along with beautiful music by Dorothy Waite on her auto harp. Thank you, Dorothy.

Thank you, to all the businesses s that put up our posters, the vendors who not only advertised but also sold tickets.

We so appreciate you.

Thank you, Laura Guido, who visited one of the gardens and wrote an article for the Whidbey News-Times. Many were reached by your story.

The money raised from the tour goes right back into the community by our many civic improvement projects.

Again thank you to all that made this garden tour a success. We couldn’t have done it without you.

If you missed this years tour keep an eye out for our 21st Garden Tour in 2020.

Linda Bos, chairwoman and

committee members of the

Oak Harbor Garden Tour
