Letter: Humbled to be grand marshal

Editor,

I was deeply humbled to have been selected as this year’s grand marshal of the Oak Harbor Fourth of July Parade.

It has been my honor and privilege to serve the citizens of Island County as your sheriff for the past 12 years.

This journey would not have been possible without the support of my wife Kathi, family, friends and the dedicated employees of the Island County Sheriff’s Office.

Mark C. Brown

Island County Sheriff

Coupeville
