Letter: Congrats on the successful effort to reopen pool

Editor,

Congratulations to everyone who supported the levy to reopen the Oak Harbor pool.

It appears to have more than enough votes to surpass the 60 percent threshold for passage.

It was a great and successful effort due to the volunteer work of many individuals and organizations. Special thanks to Juli Brooks and the Pool Foundation, Pat Hardin and the board of commissioners, Rotary, Mayor Bob Severns of Oak Harbor and to all the individuals and businesses who voted, posted signs, talked to friends and neighbors and made this a positive community effort.

Oak Harbor and all of Whidbey Island once again will have an excellent public swimming pool.
