Foundation seeking sponsors for lecture series

Editor,

The Sno-Isle Libraries Foundation is the proud sponsor of what is becoming one of Whidbey Island’s newest traditions, the Trudy Sundberg Lecture Series. Now entering its third year, the free lectures have become an immensely popular annual event. This past spring over 1,200 people attended the three-lecture weekend, and to date more than 16,000 people have viewed the lectures online.

The 2018 Lecture Series, taking place May 4 in Coupeville and May 5 in Langley, will feature a nationally renowned author, speaker, women’s historian and professional electrical engineer, Jill Tietjen. Her lectures are based on her bestselling and award-winning book, “Her Story: A Timeline of the Women Who Changed America.” Ms. Tietjen blogs for The Huffington Post, speaks nationally on the accomplishments of women, and continues to write books featuring women in engineering. Among her many accolades, she is a past CEO of the National Women’s Hall of Fame, a past National President of the Society of Women Engineers, an inductee of the Colorado Women’s Hall of Fame, and a winner of the Daughters of the American Revolution History Award Medal.

The Sno-Isle Libraries Foundation is seeking sponsors for this special event.

Those who partner with us will be featured in the flyers/posters that are distributed throughout Whidbey Island and north Snohomish County, in the targeted emails to over 20,000 Sno-Isle Libraries patrons, in the signage and PowerPoint displays at each lecture, and in all of the press releases related to the Lecture Series.

All contributions are tax deductible.

Sponsors of the 2018 Lecture Series will help us build on our success and ensure that we can continue to offer outstanding speakers to the Whidbey Island community. Inquiries regarding sponsorship should be directed to me at mfgold@comcast.net.
