An essential point was missing in the recent letter from Ed Hickey.

Dreamers are not illegal aliens though they are constantly labeled as such in the media. They came to the U.S. without personal volition as they were brought by their parents before they were of an age to consciously make such personal decisions.

They have spent their lives as Americans and deserve a path to citizenship.

Such a path is not amnesty.
