Demo gardens a great asset at Greenbank Farm

Editor,

In addition to the many amenities of the Greenbank Farm, a recent article failed to mention one of the farm’s most attractive features — the Master Gardener Demonstration Gardens.

Approximately 14 Master Gardeners work every Wednesday maintaining a pond garden, shade garden, cottage garden, rose garden, native plant garden, pergola garden as well as viewing area of water life in a wetland marsh.

Master Gardeners, with their association, and WSU extension, also provide classes in pruning, raising vegetables, berries, pest management and other horticulture classes of interest, all free. The next time you’re at the farm, visit us at the garden.
