Come enjoy new Oak Harbor exhibit

Editor,

Thanks to all who dropped by last Friday for the opening of our new Oak Harbor-themed exhibit.

Our visitors, including a trio of tourists, thoroughly enjoyed the great photos and artifacts.

Our exhibit guide booklets are a new concept for us and were a hit as well, allowing visitors to enjoy our photos and documents at their own pace and interest levels.

If you haven’t seen it, drop on by before the end of the year and enjoy.

Special thanks to Tom and Clare Weible, for their loan of some great Oak Harbor artifacts and ledgers.

Also, a sincere thank you to archivist Sarah Aldrich for selecting the exhibit photos and cleaning them up for presentation — and to museum administrator Joy Keating for her exhibit design, research, artifact procurement and interpretive writing.

It takes a team, and we have a great one.
