Quilters on the Rock’s 2010 Quilt Show, “Treasures of Whidbey Island,” will be held on August 6, 7 and 8 at the Elks Lodge, 155 NE Ernst Street, Oak Harbor.

It will open to the public on Friday, Aug. 6 from 1 to 7 p.m.; Saturday, Aug. 7, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday, Aug. 8, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $5 per person.

This year the show will feature fabulous quilts made by members of the Quilters on the Rock guild. Members have selected community members to choose their favorite quilts, which will be designated by ribbons on the chosen quilts. In addition to the quilts on display, there will be a vendor mall where quilting and sewing “necessities” can be purchased, a boutique of bargains hosted by Quilters on the Rock, charity quilts, and a quilt made by many members of the guild which will be raffled off at the show.

Parking is free and the site is handicapped accessible. Food and beverages will be available for purchase, as will CDs of all the quilts in the show, beginning on Saturday.
