Renown quilter kicks off workshop season
April 2, 2010 · Updated 1:18 PM
As one of the top regional arts schools in the country for fiber arts, painting and photography, the Pacific Northwest Art School regularly contracts A-list professional artists as instructors. This year is no exception.
Renown quilt artist and author Katie Pasquini Masopust kicks off the workshop season in April with her class, “Design Explorations.” Nature photographer Brenda Tharp follows in June to teach students about capturing “expressive nature.” July brings painter Deanne Lemley, who returns to teach after several years away. August sees the heavy hitters, when veteran National Geographic photographer Sam Abell, plein air painter Jove Wang and C.M. Russell Museum Hall of Famer Joe Bohler arrive. Fiber artists Jane Dunnewold, Carol Soderlund, Jean Cacicedo and Analisa Hedstrom as well as many other notable professional painters and photographers share tips and techniques throughout the busy April through October workshop season.
