Artworks Gallery will celebrate First Fridays at Greenbank Farm March 5 with their featured artist, Valerie Moore.

Musicians Don Baragiano, guitarist and Ashraf Hakim, cellist, known as Hejira will entertain with their special mix of “World Fusion Music.”

During the Friday artwalk, March 5 from 5 to 8 p.m., Artworks Gallery will feature photography by Valerie Moore, co-founder and current board president of the gallery. Moore said she has always been intrigued with photography. “An image can convey a story minus a thousand words or impact the viewer with details never imagined. The world becomes known by all through the art of photography,” she said.

Moore’s current exhibit, “She Sells Seashells by the Seashore,” is a perfect example of her ability to show you a known object in a new way. Moore began as a conventional photographer, then discovered the ability to manipulate photos through her computer. “It’s no surprise my work now resembles an Impressionistic style,” she said.

Artworks Gallery is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the weekends. Visit artworkswhidbey.com, or call 360-222-3010.
