Jeanne Valdez, Garry Oak Gallery’s Featured Artist for March, will be at the gallery’s First Fridays event, March 5, 5 to 8 p.m. Meet Valdez, view her work and enjoy some light refreshments.

An award-winning artist, Valdez describes her art as a “ticket to a fantasy world of her own making,” which began in her youth. She started with paper and pencil but developed a love for painting and sculpture. Her work at Garry Oak Gallery is in watercolor and acrylics. She, and her husband Jim moved to Oak Harbor in 1997. She is a co-founder of the Garry Oak Gallery and her work is found in private collections in the United States and overseas.

She will also be at the Gallery March 4 and 17, from 10 a.m. to 5p.m.

Visit Valdez at the Garry Oak Gallery, 830 SE Pioneer Way. For more information, contact the Garry Oak Gallery at 360-240-0222.
