Oil artist featured in February at Oak Harbor's Garry Oak Gallery
January 26, 2010 · 1:59 PM
Rainy Lindell, Garry Oak Gallery’s featured artist for February, will be at the gallery’s “First Fridays” event, Feb. 5 from 5 to 8 p.m.
“Every day nature puts on a show that inspires me,” Lindell said about the island she moved to in 1994 from the Seattle area. “I am in awe of this beautiful country.”
Her oil paintings catch the Northwest flavor and share the way she feels about the area.
“Oils give me the rich warm dark colors that make the paintings glow as well as the vibrant bright colors that give my paintings a zing,” she said. She worries that there is “so much to paint ... so little time!”
But she notes, “Life is good.”
Lindell said she will enjoy showing her art, and talking about her work, Feb. 5 at the gallery. There will be light refreshments and beautiful art. Join the gallery in celebrating her work.
Garry Oak Gallery is located at 830 SE Pioneer Way in downtown Oak Harbor. If you have any questions, call 240-0222.
