The final concert of Concerts on the Cove's Sundays in the Park will feature Generation Gap. This concert will be Sunday, Aug. 25, at Coupeville Town Park at 2 pm. Generation Gap plays music from the 20's through today. From Dixie to swing, jazz to rock, this multi-generational group loves to swing no matter what the style. The band features a five-piece saxophone section, five trombones, five trumpets, guitar, bass, piano, drums and vocalist. Steve Tarr, lead trombone, provides musical direction for the band. Members include players from the band's 1977 debut and others ranging in age from 14 to 73 years of age. They come from Snohomish, Skagit, King and Island counties and include students, real estate agents, truck drivers, pilots, teachers, doctors, social workers and business people. Admission to Sunday in the Park is $5 adult; students and children pay no admission. For more information, call Vern Olsen at 678-5019, or go to www.concertsonthecove.org.
