"Tickets are now on sale for an evening of Irving Berlin music, “The Melody Lingers On,” which opens Nov. 3 at Whidbey Playhouse. The show, based on the book, “Irving Berlin: A Daughter's Memoir,” by Mary Ellin Barrett, features 44 of Berlin's songs - from “Alexander's Ragtime Band,” to “There's No Business Like Show Business,” and “God Bless America.” Directed by Sue Riney, the cast includes Kate Baugh, Angela Hinkle, John Juan, Gaye Litka, Marshall Morrison, Brian Shelly, Mabel Stewart, Susie Thompson and Sam Vorpahl.“The Melody Lingers On” will run Nov. 3-25, Thursdays through Sundays at the Playhouse, 730 S.E. Midway Blvd, Oak Harbor. Performance times are 7:30 p.m. on Thursdays, 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and 2:30 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets: $11 for adults; $9 for students and seniors.
