Greenbank Farm celebrates the season

"When it comes to holiday celebrations its hard to compete with the Greenbank Farms mix of seasonal music, local crafts, a little wine, hayrides, Santa, and even a winter bonfire.Festivities will start around Thanksgiving and run through Christmas. Santa will arrive by fire engine on Dec. 4 and will stay around to talk with kids and pose for photos. The farm will do its traditional barn lighting that night as well.The farm will introduce four new wines this season and will begin selling smaller gift bottles of their popular loganberry and raspberry wines.Last year the farm hosted a very successful craft show so this year a second show has been added. There will be more music too. Every weekend choirs or other musicians will perform.Greenbank Farm executive director Shirley Henrickson says the farms gift shop will feature a large selection of Christmas ornaments some of which will be new to island shoppers. Loganberry pie and cheesecake will be on sale too.
