Seattle native GAY SHUELL will host June’s First Friday event at Garry Oak Gallery in Oak Harbor.

Meet Shuell from 5-7 p.m. on June 7, and enjoy a personal viewing of the artist’s gourd artwork. Chocolates and refreshments will also be offered. Shuell says gourds are classified a wood.

So they can be cut, carved, painted, burned, glued and drilled just like wood. Gary Oak Gallery is locatd on S.E. Pioneer Way. For more information, call 360-240-0222, or visit www.garryoakgallery.com.
