Costumes inspire Halloween fundraising in Oak Harbor

October 26, 2012 · Updated 3:07 PM

For more than 10 years, the employees of Carla’s Shear Inspiration in Oak Harbor have hosted a Halloween fundraiser to support a local charity. This Halloween, employees are “falling down Tim Burton’s rabbit hole” in their effort to support Oak Harbor and Coupeville food banks.

Anyone and everyone can stop by to take pictures with their characters. Donate $1 to vote for your favorite and you can vote as many times as you like. All proceeds will benefit the Oak Harbor and Coupeville Food Banks.

People may bring non-perishable food items to donate, too. There will also be a bake sale all day.

After 5 p.m., employees will head up to Pioneer Way to pass out candy at the “No Tricks, Safe Treats” event.
