Whidbey Playhouse enlightens community with workshop

The Whidbey Playhouse will be holding a Lighting Technical Workshop from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 23.

Anyone is welcome. All technical volunteer, board members and directors are encouraged to come.

The workshop will be held on the existing set of “Man of La Mancha” and will include three one-hour sessions covering: principles of lighting for conventional and digital instrumentation, lighting design from the first read to the conceptual plan, drafting and supporting paperwork for lighting and cueing and the finished product.

Finally, there will be a practical in the last hour where all participants can build a lighting cue.
