Garry Oak Gallery features Mike Morgan

Mike Morgan specializes in creating custom designed tables and furniture for those seeking that one-of-a-kind keepsake. As the March featured artist, view his work at Garry Oak Gallery and meet him at the First Friday Downtown event March 2.

With more than 30 years of craftsmanship behind his work, he can design and create whatever you desire in furniture.

Beginning with reclaimed old growth timber from the Pacific Northwest, Morgan incorporates requests for special carvings or leaves the wood undisturbed to show the beautiful natural wood grains. Some are designed with carvings in the tops along with inlaid slate or any other materials; the table top is designed to represent the customer.

The legs on these tables tell a story of their own, whether they are from curly willow, maple, oak or white birch.

In addition to custom furniture, Morgan has designed his line of solid hardwood Lazy Susans to accent kitchens, dining or living rooms. There are plenty of designs to choose from, including one wood or a mixture of woods, the zigzag or potpourri patterns or something else.

Jewelry and treasure boxes are his newest design.

Meet Morgan at the gallery, located at 830 SE Pioneer Way 101, Oak Harbor. For information, call 240-0222.
