Fall wine celebration on Whidbey
November 8, 2011 · Updated 3:43 PM
The weekend of Nov. 11 to 13 will bring wine lovers to five different venues on the island to celebrate harvest with the vintners during the Fall Wine Tour on Whidbey.
The Whidbey Island Vintners Association is hosting its annual fall event with six of the local wineries, including Comforts of Whidbey at the winery and vineyards off Wilkinson Road, Ott & Murphy Wines in downtown Langley, Blooms Winery and Spoiled Dog Winery at Taste for Wine, Holmes Harbor Cellars on Honeymoon Bay Road, and Greenbank Cellars at the Greenbank Farm. The venues have tickets available, and buying them in advance either at the venues or via brownpapertickets.com will save you $5. The advance price is $20, while buying a ticket that weekend will be $25.
Tickets include a souvenir glass and the tasting of wines at each venue. Several wineries have new releases to sample, and there will be live music both Saturday and Sunday at Taste for Wine tasting room and art gallery at the Bayview Corner.
For more information visit one of the participating wineries, or the vintners at www.whidbeyislandvintners.org or call 360-321-0515.
