Kids ‘from one to 92’ will love Whidbey Island Dance Theatre’s production of The Nutcracker.

As always, the production is full of new twists in choreography, costumes, sets, and more.

Even Scrooge will savor WIDT’s nearly quarter-of-a million-dollar production of the enchanting Christmas ballet, set to Tchaikovsky’s beloved “Nutcracker Suite.”

This year’s lavish production runs the second and third weekends in December with evening performances at 7:30 on Dec. 10, 11 and 17, 18, and matinee performances at 2 p.m. Dec. 11, 12, and 18 19. All performances are presented at the South Whidbey High School Performing Arts Center, 5675 South Maxwelton Road, just off Highway 525 in Langley.
