Angeli presents “Luminaria,” a benefit concert of candlelight and carols for Brian Moore at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 10, at Oak Harbor Lutheran Church, 1253 NW 2nd Ave., across from the Oak Harbor High School Stadium, and at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 12, at Regency on Whidbey, 1040 SW Kimball Drive, Oak Harbor.

Whidbey Island singers Sharon Erickson, Carol Fitzgerald, Cynthia Akins Fletcher and Lynne Ogren, make up the vocal quartet and will be accompanied by pianists Verna Morgan and Jan Ernst.

Moore is an Oak Harbor High School graduate and student of Washington State University. He was celebrating his 21st birthday when he fell about 10 feet and injured his spinal cord, resulting in losing control of his legs and arms. In order to be released from the hospital, his home in Oak Harbor had to be remodeled to accomodate his wheelchair. Though the remodel has been completed, some bills still need to be paid off.

Free-will donations will be accepted to benefit the remodeling of the family home to accommodate Brian Moore’s limited mobility.

The concert is open to the public. For information contact Oak Harbor Lutheran Church at 360-679-1561 or e-mail office@oakharborlutheran.org.
