Robert and Susan Fakkema celebrate 50 years

Robert and Susan Fakkema recently celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary. They were married Nov. 6, 1959 at First Reformed Church in Oak Harbor. R.P. and Sue have spent most of their marriage in Oak Harbor where they raised a family of three daughters. They’re now enjoying their retirement by dividing time between Oak Harbor and El Mirage, Ariz. They will join their children and grandchildren in Leavenworth this weekend to continue the celebration.
