Drink coffee, provide housing
November 3, 2009 · 11:33 AM
Whidbey Island Share a Home’s fifth annual fundraiser sponsored by Whidbey Coffee will be held Nov. 4 to Nov. 20.
As the need for affordable housing alternatives escalates for Whidbey Island residents, so does the creative support and solutions at WISH. Ongoing partnerships offer energy and life skills assistance, temporary emergency housing, wellness checks for qualifying women referral, and community outreach efforts.
To participate in the fundraiser, drive to a Whidbey Coffee kiosk or Whidbey Coffee Café and ask for the “WISH House Bank.” Check it out, fill it up with currency or coins, and return it by the 20th and receive a thank you certificate entitling you to 10 free 12 ounce coffee drinks.
If your day is hurried and hectic, simply write a check for $25 and receive the same thank you certificate.
For more information, call 360-331-5910, 800-864-7549, or visit www.whidbeywish.org. Checks may be mailed to P.O. Box 213, Freeland, WA 98249.
