The Whidbey Island Bluegrass Festival will be held Saturday, Sept. 12, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Meerkerk Gardens in Greenbank.

Enjoy Deadwood Revival, Pearly Blue, The Wiretappers and Swords into Plowshares, four fantastic bluegrass bands that showcase the best in regional acoustic string instrument performances and stellar vocal harmonies. It’s kick-up-your-feet, fun-time music.

Tickets at $10 will be available at the door or online at www.meerkerkgardens.org.

The concert is held on the green lawn at the gazebo area of mixed sun and shade. Grilled foods and soft beverages will be available, or bring your picnic basket and favorite beverages and lawn blanket or chair.

Bring your instrument for the open mic on stage from 10 a.m. to noon, or for jammin’ in the ten acre gardens.

Meerkerk Gardens is located in off Highway 525 and Resort Road at 3531 Meerkerk Lane.
