Volunteers are important members of the Hospice Team, a group of professionals who focus on ways to promote physical, emotional, social, and spiritual comfort for the terminally ill. Medicare-certified Skagit Hospice serves Skagit, Island, North Snohomish, and San Juan counties.

Skagit Hospice will be providing a Patient and Family Volunteer training for Hospice volunteers serving on Whidbey Island. This free training will be held in Coupeville on a series of Wednesdays in June and July: June 6, 10 and 17, and July 1 and 8, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.

To register, call the Skagit Hospice Volunteer coordinator at 360-814-5588 or 1-800-894-5877 by May 18.
