Island Thrift has selected Wendy Kettlewell as the new executive director. She has been employed at Island Thrift for over 9 years and recently was promoted to this new position.

Barb Grey was promoted to store manager.

Island Thrift, known as the “Store with the Big Heart,” is a nonprofit organization whose purpose is to enhance the quality of life in Island County. All proceeds from the store are given back to the community either through ongoing funding or one-time funding. Organizations interested in applying for a grant can pick up an application at the store.

The public is welcome to stop by to congratulate Wendy and Barb as you shop at the Best Thrift Store (as voted on by the community) in Oak Harbor. Donations accepted Monday through Saturday 9-4. The store is located at 600 SE Barrington Drive.
