Soroptimists install officers

The Soroptimist Club of Oak Harbor recently installed its new officers. Soroptimist is an organization whose members volunteer to improve the lives of women and girls through programs leading to social and economic empowerment. With more than 80,000 Soroptimists in about 120 countries and territories, they support community-based and global projects benefiting women and girls and help provide women and girls access to education. Oak Harbor Soroptimist Club runs a thrift store, Upscale Resale, on Pioneer Way. Store proceeds are returned to the community through scholarships, awards and contributions. - Photo provided
