Whidbey Audubon offers bird class

Whidbey Audubon Society is offering a course on birding that will meet the first and third Thursdays of each month from September 2008 to May 2009, from 7 to 9 p.m.

Learn to identify birds and know where and when to find them. Classes will be conducted by Steve and Martha Ellis, Frances Wood and other birding experts.

September through December, classes will meet at Whidbey General Hospital, Coupeville, and from January through May at Trinity Lutheran Church, Freeland.

Course fee is $150 for Whidbey Audubon members, $160 for non-members, which includes a one year membership. Registration is limited to 25 people. Call Sarah Dore at 360-331-5594 or email sdore@whidbey.net. Updates on the course will be found at www.whidbeyaudubon.org.
