The Haunted Swamp takes place Friday, Oct. 26, from 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the John Vanderzict Memorial Pool, located at 85 SE Jerome St., Oak Harbor. Cost is $3 per person and $6.75 per family.

The park district is also organizing its first Doggie Costume Contest at the Clover Valley Off Leash Dog Park. The contest takes place Sunday, Oct. 28 from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. Prizes will be awarded to the best dressed pooch.

The Costume Fun Run takes place Wednesday, Oct. 31 from 4:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. It begins at the Windjammer Park camping area and ends at Angelo’s Caffe on Pioneer Way in time for trick or treating.
