It is with great pleasure and joy that Ron Weatherlow of Oak Harbor announces the engagement of his daughter, Mindy L. Brobst, to Kevin J. Whelchel of Oak Harbor.

The groom is the son of Karyn and Mike Kaspari of Sacramento, Calif. The couple plan an Aug. 20 wedding at the Best Western Plaza in Oak Harbor and will be residing in Oak Harbor. The wedding day was chosen to honor the bride’s late mother’s birthday.
