Coupeville food bank gives Easter eggs
April 6, 2012 · Updated 2:20 PM
Families at the Gifts From the Heart Food Bank in Coupeville and Greenbank will get a little extra Easter cheer, thanks to a special Lenten collection by members of the Coupeville United Methodist Church.
Each year, the children and adults in church choose charities to support during the season of Lent that leads up to Easter.
This year, the congregation raised enough money to purchase two dozen eggs for each family who visits the food bank.
They are also collecting funds for school supplies for children in poverty throughout the world. Upcoming events of the church are available on their website at www.coupevilleumc.com.
