Join the fun in teaching elementary students about the wonders of nature and science at the Maxwelton Outdoor Classroom.

This spring’s volunteer training is Tuesday, March 27, 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Outdoor Classroom on Maxwelton Road. The training is free; lunch is included.

The teaching session is Tuesday through Friday, April 19 to June 1. Volunteers are asked to teach one small-group lesson a week, morning or early afternoon, working with other volunteers.

This spring, the theme is habitats and creatures, including some work with animal tracking. Staff provides volunteers with all the help needed to be successful.
