The Oak Harbor High School Key Club sponsored the third annual K-Kids Convention at Crescent Harbor Elementary School Saturday, Feb. 11.

The event included all members of the Oak Harbor Kiwanis family.

The purpose of the convention was to prepare K-Kid and Builder’s Club members for their upcoming contests. There were workshops for essay, art, speech and scrapbook contests.

The OHHS Key club, under the leadership of Lisa Smith and Pat Felger, has produced winners at the district and international levels the past several years.

Attending as a Builder’s club member from North Whidbey Middle School was Serenity Cortes, the current International K-Kid speech winner. She also placed second in the art contest at the international level.
