Coupeville Lions dine and bid for scholarships

Everyone is welcome to join the Coupeville Lions Club Saturday, March 3, at 5 p.m. at the Oak Harbor Elks Lodge to raise your bid paddles at The seventh annual Coupeville Lions Club Scholarship Auction & Dinner.  Auctioneer Dale Sherman will excite winning bids on everything from Dungeness crab (caught locally and delivered fresh from the pot) to a week at Ocean Shores, and more.

Beth at Bayleaf will supply wine and cheese. Hearty soup, salad, bread and fabulous  auctioned desserts will be eagerly served by Coupeville High School National Honor Society students under the direction of Gloria Mickunas of Whidbey Party Girls. Jerry Jones’ Whidbey Jazz Quintet will provide fresh sounds to favorite standards.

The proceeds of this exciting evening of auctions, including the fast-paced Dessert Dash, supports  the Coupeville Lions Scholarship Fund that, to date, has awarded scholarships to more than 150 Coupeville graduates totaling over $100,000. As in recent years, the Coupeville Lions Club thanks Puget Sound Energy for sponsoring this fundraiser. The $25 tickets are available at Bayleaf in Coupeville. To purchase tickets, please call 678-5124.
