United Way reservation

United Way of Island County will hold its 42nd annual meeting and volunteer recognition luncheon on Wednesday, March 7.

The meeting will begin at 11:30 a.m. at the CPO Club, 1080 Ault Field Road, in Oak Harbor.

Guest speaker will be Dorothy Day, principal of Oak Harbor Elementary School, speaking on “Starting Small – Dreaming Big.  A Community Coming Together for Early Learning.”

The luncheon is being sponsored by a corporate grant from the Boeing Company. Reservations are required by March 2, and can be made by calling 675-1778 or email assistant@uwic.comcastbiz.net.

Board members being elected for three-year terms are: Becky Bolte, Central Whidbey, Joan Donnell, North Whidbey and Nancy Kitchel, North Whidbey.
