Historical Society hosts ‘I Want That!’
August 23, 2011 · Updated 4:12 PM
The Island County Historical Museum is hosting a fundraising dinner, dance and auction on Oct. 22 from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Elks Lodge in Oak Harbor.
A dinner buffet loaded with a wide selection of Chef Chris’ favorites will be featured, as will the musical stylings of the popular Whidbey Island band “Paid ‘N Full” with classic hits from the ’60s and ’70s.
A silent auction will feature unique gifts and experiences, and a fun and delicious dessert auction will let attendees bid on their favorite treats. Other surprises are in store, organizers say.
The Island County Museum is an independent non-profit organization and gets most of its support from membership, donations and fundraising. All proceeds benefit the Island County Historical Museum and are tax-deductible. Admission is $25 per person and includes dinner. For tickets and information, call 678-3310 or www.islandhistory.org.
