Oak Harbor’s Home Depot will host its yearly safety event 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.

Puget Sound Energy will demonstrate safe use of electricity, and the Red Cross will show how to prepare for emergencies.

Island County’s first responders will show where to go in case of emergency, and Oak Harbor’s fire department will demonstrate how fast a fire can spread. The city’s police department will offer personal-safety demonstrations. The event is free to the public.

Free hot dogs and drinks will be served. The store is located at 31800 State Highway 20.
